The air filter of the paver is one of the very important supporting products of the engine. It protects the engine, filters out hard dust particles in the air, provides clean air to the engine, prevents engine wear caused by dust, and improves the reliability and durability of the engine. Sex plays a key role.
When the intake pipe or filter element is blocked by dirt, it will lead to insufficient intake air, causing the diesel engine to make a dull sound when accelerating, weak operation, rising water temperature, and gray-black exhaust gas. If the air filter element is improperly installed, the air containing a large amount of impurities will not pass through the filter surface of the filter element, but will directly enter the cylinder from the bypass.
In order to avoid the above phenomenon, the filter must be installed according to the regulations, and the daily maintenance specifications must be strengthened. When the paver reaches the specified maintenance time, generally the coarse filter is replaced at 500 hours, and the fine filter is replaced at 1000 hours. So the question is, what are the normal steps to replace the air filter?
Step 1: When the engine is not started, open the rear side door of the cab and the end cover of the filter element, remove and clean the rubber vacuum valve at the lower cover of the air filter housing, check whether the sealing edge is worn or not, and replace the valve if necessary. (Note that it is forbidden to remove the air filter element during engine operation. If you use compressed air to clean the filter, you must wear protective goggles).
Step 2: Disassemble the outer air filter element and check whether the filter element is damaged. If so, please replace it in time. Use high-pressure air to clean the outer air filter element from the inside out, taking care that the air pressure should not exceed 205 kPa (30 psi). Irradiate the inside of the outer filter with light. If there are any small holes or residues of thinner on the cleaned filter element, please replace the filter.
Step 3: Disassemble and replace the inner air filter. Note that the inner filter is a one-time part, please do not wash or reuse it.
Step 4: Use a rag to clean the dust inside the housing. Note that it is forbidden to use high-pressure air for cleaning.
Step 5: Correctly install the inner and outer air filters and the end caps of the air filters, making sure that the arrow marks on the caps are upwards.
Step 6: The outer filter needs to be replaced once after the outer filter is cleaned 6 times or the working time reaches 2000 hours. When working in harsh environments, the maintenance cycle of the air filter should be shortened appropriately. If necessary, an oil bath pre-filter can be used, and the oil inside the pre-filter should be replaced every 250 hours.
